BIOL 702 Molecular Biotechnology

An advanced introduction to applied aspects of biology and chemistry at the molecular and cellular level. Fundamental and emerging molecular strategies to manipulate simple and complex biological systems are reviewed. In addition, cell-based technologies, chemical approaches, and high-throughput discovery approaches are studied. Collectively, these concepts can be leveraged in agriculture, green and sustainable processes, biomedicine and health science, as well as environmental health and science.
