This course covers the cohesive microbial interactions with the environment (ecology). The course will provide in-depth understanding of microbes’ role in numerous environmental and industrial applications including genetic and metabolic engineering. Additionally, this course will extend the fundamental knowledge of microbiology to allied areas e.g., renewable energy, xenobiotics, handling of drug resistant microbes, and robust cell factories for biomanufacturing and biotransformation of conventional and unconventional carbon feedstocks.
