MINOR IN CHEMISTRY
The goal of this minor is to provide students with a solid background in chemistry. The minor requires 20 hours of CHEM courses (8 hours of required courses; 12 hours of approved elective courses). A grade of ‘C’ or better is required for all courses needed for the chemistry minor. At least 50% of chemistry courses applied toward a minor must be completed at SDSM&T.

Required Courses: 8 Credit Hours
Elective Courses: 12 Credit hours
Twelve (12) credit hours of 300+ level electives are required, The elective courses must include one 3-credit 400-level course with Chem prefix and three of the following foundational courses:
