The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology offers a minor in computational statistics, which helps prepare graduates for careers involving intensive use of data. A minor in computational statistics must be approved by the student’s major department along with the approval of the Department Head for Mathematics. Students majoring in Mathematics are not eligible for the minor in computational statistics.
