The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology offers a minor in systems engineering which is open to all undergraduate students. This minor serves to equip students with the fundamentals of system level thinking and design necessary to solve complex technological problems. It requires completion of eighteen (18) credit hours* of instruction. A minor in systems engineering must be approved by the student’s major department along with the approval of the Department Head for Electrical Engineering.
*Students must earn a grade of “C” or higher for a course to be counted toward the requirements of the minor.
