Curriculum Notes


1 Fulfills General Education requirement. Students should consult the “General Education Requirements” section of this catalog for a complete listing of all general education requirements.

2 Select two credits from the list of Experiential Electives below.

3 Select 12 credits from any EE 4xx, 5xx, or 6xx with the exceptions of EE 464  and EE 465 .  A maximum of four (4) co-op credits, EE 491 /EE 591 /EE 691 , and/or EE 498  credits may be used toward the Emphasis Electives requirement if a written petition is submitted to the faculty advisor by the student and is approved by the EECS faculty. In addition, one non-EE course at the 3xx level or above (4 credits or less) may be used toward the EE emphasis electives requirement if a written petition is submitted to the faculty advisor by the student and is approved by the EECS faculty.

4 Select five credits from any science or engineering course 200-level or above that does not duplicate the content of any other course required for graduation.

Three-credit version required for major.

6  A grade of “C” or higher is required in these courses for graduation with a Electrical Engineering BS degree and/or for advancement into some subsequent required courses. Check prerequisite requirements on course descriptions.
