GEOL 212/212L Mineralogy and Crystallography/LabCredits: (3-0) 3
A study of morphological and geometrical crystallography followed by determinative mineralogy, crystal chemistry and mineral formulae calculations. The course includes a brief introduction to symmetry operations, 32 crystal classes, and optical microscopy.
Prerequisites: CHEM 112 and (GEOL 201/201L /GEOL 201L or GEOE 221/221L ) Corequisites: GEOL 212L Notes: A grade of “C” or higher is required for graduation with a Geology, BS .
