CHEM 753 Chemical Aspects of Medical Imaging

This course will focus on chemistry including both preparation and action of imaging tracers, which are chemical compounds used to produce medically relevant image. Tracers for Fluorescent Imaging, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) will be discussed in the course. The course will also cover novel Hyperpolarized (HP) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) tracers.
