NANO 405/405L/505/505L Quantum Photonics and Communications

Introductory course on quantum encrypted communications, including fiber optic technology and electro-optic components. Laboratory section will assemble and test a commercially available quantum encrypted network based on entangled photon pairs.

Prerequisites: NANO 404/504
Notes: Students enrolled in NANO 505/505L will be held to a higher standard than those enrolled in NANO 405/405L.
