GEOL 212 Mineralogy and Crystallography

A study of morphological and geometrical crystallography followed by determinative mineralogy, crystal chemistry and mineral formulae calculations. The course includes a brief introduction to symmetry operations, 32 crystal classes, and optical microscopy.

Prerequisites: CHEM 112 and (GEOL 201 or GEOE 221)
