ME 450 Product and Process Development for Product Quality

Product and Process Development for Product Quality will teach concurrent product development considering the product form fit and function, manufacturing process capability and measurement system capability. Course topics will include geometric dimension and tolerance, process capability, measurement system capability, process control, design of experiments and process improvement. The goal is to capture all elements of concurrent design in a fully dimensioned and tolerance drawing using the tools of GD&T outlined in ASME Y14.5. The lab component will reinforce the lecture component as well as providing samples for gage capability and process capability determination.

Corequisites: ME 450L
