ME 454 Industrial Robotics and Automation

Credits: 3

This is a course which teaches a balance of theory and practice in industrial robotics and automation. Topics include: industrial robots, robot work cell planning and design, end of arm tooling, jigs & fixtures, part conveyors & hoppers, programmable logic controllers, and machine vision. The lab component will reinforce the lecture component as well as providing the resources needed for a group industrial automated assembly project.

Prerequisites: ME 351  and ME 352 
Corequisites: ME 454L
