ME 564 Applied Aerodynamics

Credits: 3

Develop effective techniques for the aerodynamic analysis of aircraft, focusing on airfoil and finite wing theory. Physical properties of the standard atmosphere as well as lift, drag, and aerodynamic moments are studied for airfoils (2-D) and finite wings (3-D) in the subsonic and supersonic flow regimes. Development of equations of conservation of mass and momentum lead to development of aircraft performance and design parameters.

Corequisites: ME 564L
Notes: This course is cross-listed with ME 464 .
