AES 330 Impact-based Decision Support Services

An introduction to Impact-based Decision Support Services (IDSS) for scientists and engineers. Students will learn how to apply meteorological and environmental information within the contexts of the Incident Command System and the National Incident Management System while engaging with emergency personnel and decision makers. Students will focus on building community partnerships and developing sustained relationships with end users while focusing on communicating relevant forecast and environmental data to these user groups.

Prerequisites: Sophomore standing or higher
