GEOL 322 Structural Geology

An introduction to the development and interpretation of geologic structures. Topics include the theory of rock deformation, description of structures in 3-dimensions, interpretation of structural evolution, geologic map reading, and plate tectonic drivers.

Prerequisites: GEOL 331 or MEM 314
Corequisites: GEOL 322L
Pre or Corequisites: GEOL 341
Notes: Students pursuing a BS in Geology must earn a grade of “C” or higher in GEOL 331 to meet prerequisite requirements for this course.
