GEOL 341 Igneous and Metamorphic PetrologyCredits: 2
Identification and classification of igneous and metamorphic rocks in hand sample and thin section. Emphasis is on environments of formation as deduced from textures and structures. Lecture, laboratory, and field trips.
Prerequisites: GEOL 212 Corequisites: GEOL 341L Notes: Students pursuing a BS in Geology must earn a grade of “C” or higher in GEOL 212 to meet prerequisite requirements for this course.
