Field, laboratory, or modeling project investigating an independent research question chosen with the advice and approval of a research advisor. Data gathering, analysis, and synthesis as well as professional communication skills are emphasized.

Prerequisites: GEOL 464
Notes: Students pursuing a Geology, BS must earn a grade of “C” or higher in GEOL 464 to meet prerequisite requirements for this course. A grade of “C” or higheris required in this course for graduation with a Geology, BS.
