1 The experiential learning electives are meant to give students an opportunity to participate in service learning, entrepreneurship, innovation, and research opportunities. Allowable courses are listed below. Other courses may be allowed if a written petition is submitted to the faculty advisor by the student and is approved by the EE faculty.

2 The electrical engineering (EE) emphasis electives are meant to allow students to emphasize areas in electrical engineering at a more advanced level. Any EE 4xx, 5xx, or 6xx course may be used toward the EE emphasis electives requirement with the exceptions of EE 464 and EE 465 . A maximum of four (4) co-op credits, EE 491 /EE 591 /EE 691 , and/or EE 498 credits may be used toward the EE emphasis electives requirement if a written petition is submitted to the faculty advisor by the student and is approved by the EE faculty.
3 Free electives are meant to allow students to have a broader educational experience. A free elective can be from any college level course 100 level or above.
4 Technical electives are meant to support electrical engineering emphasis area(s). They may be from any science or engineering course 200 level or above that does not duplicate the content of any other course required for graduation, with the exception of military science courses
5 Fulfills General Education requirement. Students should consult the “General Education Requiements ” section of this catalog for a complete listing of all general education requirements.
